Today I’m going to teach you the steps to take in your communication when someone has a concern. We want to make sure that the other person feels heard, supported, and that we together come up with a good solution.

The steps are:

  1. Tell me more, what else?
  2. Summarize
  3. What other concerns do you have?
  4. Isolate the primary concern
  5. Gain permission
  6. Provide solution
  7. Temperature check
