Hi, Tasha here. Today, let’s talk about building trust with your team and some counterintuitive things I have learned over the past few months. I’ve always been a big fan of Gallup’s work on strengths, and fairly recently I picked up Strengths Based Leadership, which is awesome. I’m obsessed with strengths and have been using this as a tool for years in my leadership. In fact, one of my strengths is actually that I’m obsessed with strengths. I did a podcast a while back, “Let’s Talk About Strengths, Baby” where I talked about how important it is to look at your strengths, especially your top ones. But that is NOT what I’m going to talk about today. Let’s talk about the bottom five. The ones we would call our “weaknesses.” I came to the realization that my “strength” that was #33 out of #34 might also be one of my greatest assets as a leader. Listen in as I tell you how, and how you can use this information to lead your team and build an environment where others can be their best selves.
