Are you ready to make 2020 the year you accomplish everything you want to?

I know that can feel like a tall order… so today I want to share some tools I’m using with clients to help drill this down to help you get clarity on HOW to accomplish what you want.

Below are 9  powerful questions that are shaping the next year for some of the most powerful leaders in the industry.  I feel confident that they are going to be really powerful for you. Our number one core value at Emerge is to lead by example, so I have of course answered these questions as well…you can watch/listen HERE where I will share my answers.

I encourage you to grab a pen and a piece of paper and block off 30 minutes to go through these questions. Some of them are reflection questions for 2019 and some are vision questions for 2020…

REFLECTION QUESTIONS

What were your accomplishments in 2019?

This can be anything – personally or professionally.  Remember that your business is for your life, not your business.  This came up recently with a client who was feeling bad that she didn’t feel bad about not reaching the next rank in her business, but she accomplished all the other things she set out to doI am not saying that you shouldn’t hit your next rank.  I just want to remind you that your business goals line up with your life. So write down all of your accomplishments inside your business and your personal life.

What lessons did you learn in 2019?

“You either win, or you learn a lesson.”  And you have to write down the lesson in order to move forward.

These next two questions are powerful questions that my business partner, Karen, asked me that blew me away…

What are you done with?

What do you want more of?

VISION QUESTIONS

What do you want to accomplish in 2020?

Accomplishments can be tangible and intangible.  I have recently learned that we set these goals because we want to feel a certain way, and if we don’t figure out how we want to feel, we might chase the wrong accomplishments.

How will these impact your overall quality of life?

Write down those accomplishments AND how they are going to increase your overall quality of life because that is what we are looking with our businesses – to increase our quality of life.

What are you willing to sacrifice?

What are you not willing to sacrifice?

How will you reward yourself for milestones achieved? We need to reward ourselves along the way.  It is great to say, “Eventually when I have financial freedom I’ll quit my job,” or whatever the goal is for you.  But that is so far away, and we need to make sure to reward ourselves along the way. You certainly wouldn’t create a reward system like that for kids encouraging them to just keep grinding it out until they get to high school.  Then I’ll give you a trip to Disneyland! Instead we reward them every semester with ice cream or whatever it may be for doing what they were supposed to do. So we want to treat ourselves that same way.

I would love to hear what some of your answers are and how this exercise was for you. 🙂

Happy New Year!
