So today I am going to give you 3 visuals in this business. Yes, I know this is a podcast and you cannot see me, but I am a visual learner and believe some of our listeners are as well. We are going to talk about a visual for your work ethic, recruiting, and vision.

Work ethic – I am sure you have heard the quote “the pace of the leader is the pace of the team”. Here is your first visual. In racing, there are 2 types of cars: the pace car and the race car. The pace car responsibility is to hold the race cars behind itself. The race car responsibility is to win the race and cross the finish line. So think about your business are you the pace car or the race car? Also in racing, there is a term referred to as drafting, which is when two race cars drive so close to each other that they can go faster together. So again think about your business and who are you drafting with? Who is your faster together partner?

Recruiting – I know you all know that ⅓ of the people you recruit into your business will work the business. So grab a deck of cards. What’s the most sought-after card in the deck? The ace right? So think about your Aces as your very top performers in your business and those you want to recruit and have on your team. The 2, 3, and 4 cards are those that go MIA in your business; 5, 6, and 7 cards love the product; 8, 9, and 10 cards will be the consistent performers you can count on each month; J, Q, and K cards will be your leaders.

If you were to shuffle the deck and start turning over cards in the deck it’s going to take you time to find an Ace. You might get a 2, 3, 8, 7, K, and then find an Ace. So my point is, don’t stop recruiting, keep going through the deck until you find the Ace.

Vision – In this business we often times lose sight of the big picture. Think of a puzzle. Its a great example of our business. We have all the pieces to be successful just like in a puzzle. Each puzzle is a unique picture and each of us brings unique skills into this business. Puzzles range in size from small to very large just like our organizations. And if you try to put the wrong piece in a puzzle it won’t fit causing frustration. Just like if you are trying to fit someone into this business that doesn’t fit. It’s not for everyone. Click the link below this podcast to watch a quick 3min video about the puzzle and success.

I hope those 3 visuals give you something to think about as you look into your business when it comes to work ethic, recruiting and vision.
