Hey, Tasha here with Emerge Sales Training.  We give hope confidence and skills to network marketers of all level levels who want to help people.

Today, I have a highlight of an interview I did with Lita Parke, who is a student of our course, Your Leadership Foundation (YLF).  In the interview we role-played the Month In Review coaching call that we teach in YLF, and walked through using the Leadership Tracker our students use with their teams.  You can want to catch the entire interview here (https://youtu.be/G_Z-ch87amg), or you can check out the podcast on iTunes.

T:  What went well?

L:  What I did was I just showed up.  We had weekly calls and we practiced a skill set, we have had in-person trainings every month, the people who hit their enrollment goals, some of them were not able to be at that training for other reasons.  Some were not my builders, so I haven’t done a one-on-one coaching with them. What I usually do on my Facebook Messenger thread with my leaders is a “Win” thread, like hashtag wins, and I really highlight what their wins are, and then I asked them when they have an enrollment, “What did you do to get that enrollment?  What steps did you take?” and I help them unpack that in our messenger thread. I’ve been doing that for a couple months now, and when I’m have a win I share with them, and then I unpack how I did that and what I over what steps I took.

T:  So I noticed a couple things – I’m gonna say you unpack the success so that it can duplicate, because if people don’t know what they’re doing that’s successful how can they first recognize it and then explain it to others?  And the other thing I wrote down is that you role model the behavior that you wanted to create on your team, so those would be two things that I would say helped you there.

Now, what didn’t go well?

L:  What didn’t go well…?  So my struggle in the past that’s getting better is planning ahead.  So planning for next month’s classes activities the prior month. I did that for March and for April, but when it came to April I didn’t leave myself time.  In April I didn’t have anything set as far as a customer retention classes, or split classes, and in-person classes, and I felt like that really if I had something to do like that was preset I probably would have gotten me out of my funk faster.

T:  Okay so you didn’t take the time to plan?

L:  Yes.

This is just one highlight from the interview.  Please check out the full interview on YouTube or iTunes.
