The Miracle Morning, is the concept of being intentional about how you start your day. If you are intentional about how you start your morning, it can change your whole day. And if you’re changing your whole day multiple days in a row… you’re changing your whole life.
Key Concepts from Pat
- Decide what is important to you, grab some of those suggestions, and design what you want your morning to really look like. Another key piece is what NOT to do… don’t roll out of bed and look at your phone.
- Start with the important activities first, and then do everything else. If we roll over and check our phone, we instantly want to jump into our urgent activities that other people want us to do. If you do your Miracle Morning activities first before you let the day take over, you will go into your day with a sense of accomplishment, which impacts the rest of your day. If you do that and string multiple days together, the cumulative effect will put you in a totally different place.
- When doing affirmations, instead of saying, “I am a millionaire,” say, “I am committed to being a millionaire,”. Your brain accepts the commitment-affirmation and kicks out the affirmation we don’t believe. This shift is powerful in seeing results.
- Define how you want to be… let’s say you want to be a generous and powerful person,.. The next step is to ask yourself, “How can I be generous and powerful in the situations I find myself in today?” and do those things throughout the day. We usually do things in reverse and think, “If I had more money, then I can do the things I want to do and THEN I’ll be happy.” We think we need to have firstin order to be happy, which leads us to chasing the circumstances that we want. But, in reality, the answer is right there in the moment we find ourselves in.
